Brian Haas currently serves as the State Attorney for the Tenth Judicial Circuit of Florida. He ran for State Attorney unopposed and was sworn in on January 3rd, 2017. Prior to becoming State Attorney, Brian served as the Chief Assistant State Attorney under State Attorney Jerry Hill.
Brian grew up in Polk County and is a graduate of Bartow High School. He received his bachelor's degree from Flagler College in St. Augustine and his law degree from the University of Florida.
He has prosecuted crimes ranging from Misdemeanors to Capital Felonies and was assigned to the Special Prosecution Division at the State Attorney's Office, where he prosecuted those who committed sexual crimes against children. Brian has represented the State of Florida in many jury trials, including the prosecution of violent crimes.
He and his wife Tammi, an elementary school principal, have two children and reside in Winter Haven. Both Brian and his wife are very active in their church and community.
